FIRST DAY : MARRAKECH – HIGH ATLAS – OUARZAZATE – VALLEY OF THE DRAA – ZAGORA
The 2 day excursion to ZAGORA desert, will starts from the Hotel/Riad where you are staying. After breakfast pick up by the team of “TOURS A MERZOUGA COMPANY“. Departure to the South of Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas through the port of Tizi N Tichka of 2260 mts, altitude. Stops to enjoy spectacular views of the High Atlas. And from there we will continue our journey to OUARZAZATE: city called as the gateway to the desert where many international films were shot, such as (AsterixObelix, Lawrence d’Arabia, Gladiator … etc).
Lunch in a restaurant with panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt (old town of OUARZAZATE). Then we will continue our trip crossing the Anti-Atlas, the Draa Valley (the largest valley in Morocco). In the afternoon we arrive in ZAGORA, there we change the 4×4 vehicle for camels to enjoy a ride of 1h30mn, to reach the camp.
Dinner and overnight in typical desert nomad tents (an unforgettable night under the stars with drum music).
SECOND DAY: ZAGORA – AGDEZ – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH
Before breakfast we wake up early to see the sunrise on the nearest dune to the camp. Free time to take magical pictures and enjoy the silence. And then a deleciouse breakfast.
Then we get ready to ride again in the Jeep 4×4, continuing our route towards the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, (An ancient fortress of the eleventh century, declared a World Heritage Site).
Crossing the mountains of the Anti-Atlas, through the port of Tizi-NTinifift. Around 12h approximately we will arrive at the famous village “Ait Ben Haddou”, free time to visit the Kasbah and have lunch, in the afternoon return to MARRAKECH. Crossing the High Atlas travelling to the red city of Morocco, at 18h we will arrive in Marrakech transfer to your Hotel/Riad. End of the excursion 2 days ZAGORA desert, and of our services.
