Itinerary of 3 Days Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fez – Ifrane – Middle Atlas – Merzouga

The journey begins early in the morning from Fez, heading south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The first stop is in Ifrane, often called the “Moroccan Switzerland” because of its alpine-style architecture and peaceful atmosphere.

After a short break, continue towards the cedar forests of Azrou, where you may see Barbary macaques in their natural habitat. The journey then continues through Midelt and the Ziz Valley, where the scenery gradually changes into a desert landscape.

Arrival in Merzouga in the late afternoon, where your Sahara Desert experience begins. Enjoy a camel ride at sunset across the dunes to the Berber desert camp. Spend the night under a sky full of stars while enjoying a traditional dinner.

Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

The second day begins with a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes, one of the most unforgettable moments of the trip.

After breakfast, continue towards Rissani, an ancient trading town considered the gateway to the desert.

The journey then continues to the spectacular Todra Gorges, where the river has carved a dramatic canyon with towering rock walls. After visiting the gorge and having lunch, continue towards the Dades Valley, passing through mountain landscapes and traditional kasbahs.

Overnight stay in a hotel in the Dades Valley, surrounded by peaceful and scenic natural landscapes.

Day 3: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, continue towards the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a historic fortified village built from adobe and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This iconic location has appeared in many international films and TV productions.

Later, continue towards Marrakech while crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with several panoramic stops along the route to enjoy the spectacular scenery.
