Itinerary of 4 Days  Marrakech to Merzouga

Day 1: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Your 4-day Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour begins with pickup from your accommodation around 8:30 AM.

Departure towards the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters above sea level), enjoying panoramic views and traditional Berber villages along the way.

The first major stop will be the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for many international productions such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

Afterward, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” before passing through the Skoura Valley and the Valley of Roses.

Arrival in the Dades Valley in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, departure towards the Sahara Desert.

The first stop will be the spectacular Todra Gorges, famous for their towering rock walls and stunning scenery. Free time for walking and taking photos.

Continue towards Erfoud via Tinjdad and Jorf. In Erfoud, there will be an opportunity to visit a fossil workshop, as the town is known as the “City of Fossils.”

Arrival in Merzouga around 4:00 PM. After a short rest, the most memorable experience of the trip begins: a camel ride across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi while enjoying an unforgettable sunset.

Arrival at the Berber desert camp, where you will enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber drum music around the campfire, and a magical night beneath the Sahara stars.

Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Anti-Atlas – Ouarzazate

We recommend waking up early to admire the sunrise over the dunes of Erg Chebbi, one of the most incredible moments of the journey.

After breakfast, departure from the desert towards Rissani, an ancient trading town and gateway to the Sahara. If it coincides with market day, you will have the opportunity to visit one of Morocco’s most authentic traditional souks.

Continue through Alnif, Tazarine, and Nkob before reaching the spectacular Draa Valley, famous for its vast palm groves and ancient kasbahs.

Lunch will be in Agdez before crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains.

Arrival in Ouarzazate in the afternoon. Free dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Telouet – High Atlas – Marrakech

After breakfast, begin the journey back to Marrakech through Telouet and the High Atlas Mountains.

Several panoramic stops will be made before arriving in Marrakech in the afternoon.
