Detail of the Tour
Day 1: Casablanca.
Pick up at Mohamed V airport and transfer to the hotel. Depending on arrival time possibility to visit the mosque of Hassan II, dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Casablanca – Marrakech.
We go down to the red city and free day on arrival in Marrakech. Set off to discover the famous city, visit the immense souk, and immerse yourself in the lively Djemaa El Fna square, in the heart of ancient Morocco. Let yourself be captivated by dancers, snake handlers, jugglers, storytellers, singers. Have an orange juice in front of the many stalls.
Day 3: Marrakech – Telouat – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate.
Departure after breakfast crossing the High Atlas by the port of Tizi Ntichka (2,260m altitude), then we turn off on a track visiting the Kasbah Telouet. We will pass through Berber villages to reach the fortified village of Ait ben haddou, where they shot several famous films such as Gladiator, Obelix, Sahara with Penelope Cruz, etc.. Free time for lunch in the village and continue to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Dades Valley.
Breakfast and departure to visit the city of Ouarzazate, considered the gateway to the great desert and place from which depart the great expeditions, which highlights the Kasbah of Taourirt, the main palace of Glaoui, the Great Pacha of southern Morocco. We continue to the valley of the roses through Skoura, Boumalne Dades to reach the Dade Gorges. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga (Desert).
Departure by a road dotted with Kasbahs all different. After several stops, we will arrive at one of the strong points of tourism in the South: The Todra Gorges. The Todra River has formed a gorge of vertical walls of enormous proportions and great beauty, is a paradise for climbers and a unique place. We will continue our way to the south. Free lunch on the way and then on to the desert to reach the impressive dunes of Merzouga. Free time to climb the dunes and enjoy the sunset, after dinner a Berber show with drums awaits us. Overnight at the lodge.
Day 6: Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Merzouga.
Breakfast. We surround Erg Chebbi, an expanse of sandy desert where the Great Dune of Morocco, over 250 meters high, connecting by track with part of the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar, with the mountains bordering Algeria in the background. Stop at the oasis of Tissardmin and continue to a nomadic settlement where we will learn some secrets of their life and customs. Later stop at a panoramic point where you can see the Erg Chebbi as a whole. Stop in Khamlia, original village of Mali, where we relax with a tea while enjoying a small concert of Gnawa music. Return to the lodge, lunch and departure by camel on a route of an hour and a half that will take us to the foot of the Great Dune, wrapped by the beautiful desert sunset. We will sleep in a Haima in the heart of the desert under the spectacular blanket of stars.
Day 7: Merzouga – Rissani – Merzouga Dunes.
We wake up before dawn to watch the sunrise. Return by camel to the lodge. Shower and breakfast. Early departure to Rissani where we discover the desert region with its isolated oasis and the black desert. Visit of the palm grove of Rissani with its ancient kasbahs. At sunset, return to Merzouga to take advantage of all the calm of the desert. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 8: Merzouga – Midelt – Fez.
After breakfast, we say goodbye to the desert and left for the north of the country through the valley of Ziz taking advantage of the coolness of the blue source of Meski where you can rest. Stop planned in Midelt for lunch and then continue to Fez, passing through Ifrane (the Moroccan Swiss) we arrive in Fez where we stay in Riad in the medina.
Day 9: Fez – Fez.
Free day for the royal city of Fez with its numerous “médersas”, its tanneries and the famous Medina.
Day 10: Fez – Volubilis – Meknes.
Departure to Meknes. Visit of the Imperial City with its famous gate, Bab El Mansour, the mausoleum of Mulay Ismaïl and the Agdal basin. Possibility to discover the ruins of the Roman city of Volubilis located about thirty kilometers from Meknes and the holy city of Moulay Idriss pilgrimage center of any Moroccan. Dinner and overnight in Meknes.
Day 11: Meknes – Rabat – Casablanca.
On the way to Casablanca stop in the capital of Morocco (Rabat) and afternoon arrival in Casablanca where you can take the opportunity to do your shopping.
Day 12: Casablanca.
Breakfast, free morning. At the agreed time transfer to the airport and end of our services.
