Detail of the route

Day 1: Marrakech:

Pick up at Marrakech airport. This day will be spent immersed in the life of this city and to enjoy the intense activity of the DJemaa el Fna Square, declared Oral Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.

Day 2: Marrakech – Taroudant:

Departure from Marrakech by a narrow road that will introduce us in the valley of Oued N’Fis, cradle of the Almohads. On the way we will see numerous citadels, such as Tin Mal, which stands on an impregnable python. The Tizi-n-Test road winds its way relentlessly climbing between these last overhangs in search of an impossible pass to the north, until it finds it at almost 2100 meters.
From a café/bar at the summit (where if you feel like it, we can have tea) there is a breathtaking view over the desert and the descent to Taroudant, a small but beautiful fortified town, known as the “little Marrakech”.

Day 3: Taroudant – Neck of Kerdous:

We will cross a region of argan and olive groves until we reach the Anti-Atlas. In less than 100 km the pink village of Igherm, a center of copper production that traded for centuries with the Saharan caravans is outlined.

Day 4: Neck of Kerdous – Agadir:

We will pass through the Tizi Kerdous (1100 m) where it is mandatory stop to see the extraordinary views towards the Ocean and the Anti-Atlas. Descend to Tiznit, a small town with a market that stands out for its colorful colors. We will continue along a coastal road to Agadir, a city founded by the Portuguese in the sixteenth century. Free time to visit its historic center.

Day 5: Agadir – Essaouira:

Continuing our journey along the road, we will reach some vast forests of argan trees, full of herds of goats. Short walk through Sidi Kaouki, a small fishing village, if time permits. A 30 minute walk from the village, along the coast, is a magnificent wild beach where you can swim. Arrival in Essaouira. This beautiful city has earned almost a thousand and one nicknames; among them, “The pearl of the Atlantic”, “Sleeping Beauty” and “The beautifully traced”. In the afternoon, visit of the city and its defensive ramparts.

Day 6: Essaouira:

Free day in Essaouira to dive in the medina, along the ramparts and along the port. In the medina work and expose many artisans, who use the thuya root for their work. Another option would be to relax on the beach and enjoy the refreshing waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 7: Essaouira – Marrakech:

We will cross the entire plain of Marrakech (Haouz), amazing area for its contrasts, as it is very green in winter thanks to the temperatures, becoming arid and desert in summer. This road is especially dangerous due to the large number of mule carts that circulate there. Arrival in Marrakech at lunchtime. Afternoon free to discover the city.

Day 8: End of the route:

Breakfast, and at the agreed time, we will transfer to the airport and end of the trip.
